The Quarryville Police Department will again be participating in the Bleed Blue Challenge hosted by Penn Medicine LGH Blood Donation Center in January and February 2024. Blood and plasma are critical lifesaving substances that are always in short supply, and you can help your community by donating!  To keep it fun and interesting, local Police Departments have a friendly competition to see who can generate the most donations, which Quarryville Police has previously won! Last years Bleed Blue Challenge brought out a total of 951 donors and we're hoping to surpass that this year! Please consider making a lifesaving blood donation at any of the local LGH blood drive events or the LGH Blood Donation Center. And while you're there, make sure to mention you would like to show your support for the Quarryville Police Department. The department who generates the most donations by February 29th is presented with a plaque that is passed on from the previous year's winner to be displayed in their department headquarters.  The Quarryville Police Departments donation day will be Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Quarryville Police station, 300 Saint Catherine Street, from 2:00pm-7:00pm. To schedule a donation time, call (717) 544-0177 or visit LGhealth.org/giveblood
