Activity Report October 8th to 14th 2023

Incidents

On October 9th 2023 officers responded to Hidden Meadows on the Ridge for a report of disturbance resulting in a fire alarm being activated. Upon arrival officers found that a resident of the dementia unit became upset due to him being told he could not leave the facility. No police action taken.

On October 9th 2023 at approximately 7 pm officers responded to the area of 60 Reagan Drive for a report of a disturbance between a homeowner and a person walking along the roadway. A male resident of the community approached a female walking and aggressively told the female that she was not allowed in the community. Officers were able to resolve the situation without any charges being filed.

On October 13th 2023 at approximately 1030 hours officers responded to a report of trespassing in the 2900 block of Cymer Road. It was reported that numerous hunters were trespassing on the property. Officers were unable to locate anyone on the property.

Arrests

On October 8th 2023 at approximately 0817 am officers responded to Faith Baptist Church for a report of a male sleeping on the steps. During the course of the investigation Austin Grover of Quakertown was found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Based on further investigation Mr. Grover was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness.

On October 10th 2023 at approximately 235 am Pennridge Regional Police responded to Grand View Hospital for a party who became upset and caused a disturbance after being released from the hospital. The male identified as William Batcsics, of Sassamasville, was found to have an active warrant for his arrest for violating his probation. Mr. Batcsics was taken into custody and during the course of the investigation was found to be in possession of several illegal substances. Mr. Batcsics was charged for possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was transferred to Bucks County Sheriffs Office as a result of his warrant.

On October 11th 2023 at approximately 9 am officers responded to a residence in the 2400 block of Schukraft Road for a report of a male destroying property. Upon the arrival of officers Henry Thompson III of the same address was found to have damaged a vehicle, several lighting fixtures on the attached garage of the home and the mailbox. The damages exceeded $5000 and Mr. Thompson was arraigned by District Judge Gambardella with bail set at $50,000 unsecured. Mr. Thompson was then released.

On October 14th 2023 while conducting a security detail at the Pennridge Sr. High School officers became aware of a student who was school property possessing an illegal vape pen. That student was contacted and a disturbance ensued as a result of the school administration addressing the vape pen being on school property. As a result of the disturbance a juvenile allegation was filed against the juvenile for several criminal offenses. The student was released to their parents.

Traffic Accidents & Enforcement

On October 8th 2023 at approximately 2 pm officers responded to Rt. 313 and Three Mile Run Road for a motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles. There were no injuries reported at the scene and both vehicles were driven from the scene.

On October 8th 2023 at approximately 7 pm officers responded to Ridge road in the area of Lawn Ave for a motor vehicle accident. The accident resulted in the death of the driver and passenger of an Acura MDX that was entering Ridge Road from Fasageo’s Italian Restaurant. The other two passengers in the Acura and the driver and passengers of the Chevrolet Silverado also involved had minor injuries or were uninjured.  The Pennridge Regional Police Department and Bucks County District Attorney’s office are reconstructing the accident.

On October 10th 2023 at approximately 440 pm a motor vehicle accident occurred on Ridge Road and Bethlehem Pike. Upon arrival of officers it was found that a truck turning onto Ridge Road from Bethlehem Pike struck a vehicle stopped on Ridge Road. No injuries were reported.

October 11th 2023 at 730 am officers responded to the area of Three Mile Run Road and West Rock Road for a motor vehicle crash. Upon arrival it was determined that a Pennridge School District bus and a large commercial truck struck mirrors as they passed each other on Three Mile Run Road. No injuries were reported.

On October 11th 2023 at 830am a motor vehicle accident was reported on Rt. 313 in the area of Sterner Mill Road. It was determined that a deer ran out across Rt. 313 and was struck by a vehicle.

On October 13th 2023 at 4 pm a motor vehicle crash was reported at the intersection of S Ridge Road and Old Bethlehem Pike. Upon arrival of officers, it was determined that a BMW entered the Ridge Road from Old Bethlehem Road and was struck by a Kia on Ridge Road. After being struck by the Kia the BMW struck a utlility pole spinning it into a third vehicle, a Nissan. Minor injuries were reported and the operator of the BMW was issued a traffic citation.

Pennridge Regional Police officers issued a total of 22 citations and warnings during the week of October 8th to the  14th 2023
