POLICE INCIDENTS FROM 5/12/23 THRU 5/23/23

THEFT OF SERVICES: On 5-15-23 Gary Lee Yeakley Jr (21) of Temple, PA was charged with Theft of Services(M2), stemming from an incident 5-9-23 at Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center, 2160 State Rd.  Yeakley was transported to this location by a taxi service and did not pay the fare.  Total estimated value of loss $125.00.

HARASSMENT: On 5-15-23 Brian Mark King (32) of Jamaica, NY was cited with Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 4-29-23 at Spooky Nook Sports, 2913 Spooky Nook Rd.  King, the coach of a basketball team, allegedly did not like a call the referee made and initiated an altercation.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: On 5-16-23 at 1232 hrs, police responded to Root’s Country Market & Auction, 705 Graystone Rd, for an intoxicated male.  Following investigation, Stephen D Novak (27) of Lancaster was cited with Public Drunkenness (S).

SIMPLE ASSAULT: On 5-17-23 a 14-year-old male student of Lancaster was charged with Simple Assault (M2) and Harassment (S), stemming from an incident 5-9-23 at Landisville Middle School, 340 Mumma Dr.

DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE: On 5-18-23 Madeline Rose Chirico (25) of Ephrata was charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (M) and several summary traffic violations, stemming from a traffic stop 5-15-23 at 0403 hrs on Spooky Nook Rd near the Route 283 westbound ramp.

THEFT BY DECEPTION: On 5-19-23 a 16-year-old female student of East Petersburg was charged with Theft by Deception (M2), stemming from an incident 4-18-23 at Hempfield High School, 200 Stanley Ave.

RETAIL THEFT: On 5-20-23 at 2245 hrs, police responded to Giant Food Store, 550 Centerville Rd, for a retail theft that just occurred.  A male and female were observed walking out of the store with a shopping cart filled with items after passing all points of sale and not making payment.  Total amount of loss is unknown at this time.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: On 5-20-23 police responded to the 2700 and 2800 blocks of Marietta Ave for vandalism reports.  Sometime between 5-19-23 at 1500 hrs and 5-20-23 at 0900 hrs, actor(s) used large rocks to damage mailboxes at two residences.  Total estimated value of damage $100.00.

THEFT FROM VEHICLE: On 5-22-23 police responded to the 3200 block of Randy Rd for a theft from vehicle report.  Sometime between 5-20-23 at 1000 hrs and 5-22-23 at 0900 hrs, actor(s) picked the lock on a toolbox stored in the bed of a pick-up truck and took a DJI Mini Pro 3 drone with remote control, a Kobalt Impact Drill and a Kobalt Sawzall.  Total estimated value of loss $1,150.00.

THEFT: On 5-23-23 police responded to the 2200 block of Marietta Ave for a theft report.  Sometime between 0459 hrs and 1400 hrs, actor(s) removed parts of a bed frame from a porch.  Total estimated value of loss $1,300.00.
