At 0431hrs on Monday, 03/22/21, police and emergency personnel were dispatched to the McGovernville Rd. (Rt. 741) at Swarr Run Rd. for a 2-vehicle crash with entrapment. Police investigation at the scene determined that a 2017 Kia Sorento driven by a 53 year old male of Lancaster, entered the intersection from westbound Swarr Run Rd., into the path of a a 2014 Freightliner that was north on McGovernville Rd. The operator of the Kia was extricated from his vehicle by fire and EMS personnel, and transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. McGovernville Rd. was closed for a short period as a result of the crash, which is still under investigation.
