Ephrata Police received a complaint from a representative of the high-end fashion brand Louis Vuitton that underpriced, counterfeit fashion items were being sold in bulk by two vendors at Green Dragon Market, 955 North State Street, Ephrata Township.  The representative of the fashion brand conducted an investigation, made buys of counterfeit merchandise on multiple weeks and identified suspects.  On Friday September 13, 2019, Ephrata Police joined the investigation.  Police confirmed the sale of counterfeit merchandise and seized over 500 items of counterfeit merchandise made to resemble merchandise distributed by Vuitton.  Ephrata Police charged Ndiaye L. Serignel, 50, of Staten Island, NY, with Trademark Counterfeiting.  Police expect to charge a second vendor by the end of the month.  Serignel is presumed innocent.
