Important Traffic Updates for Castle Shannon Residents

The Castle Shannon Police Department would like to inform residents of upcoming traffic updates in the area:

Killarney Tunnel Closure: The Killarney Tunnel will be closed overnight from 7pm-6am, the week of October 12, 2026, to accommodate Columbia Gas subcontractors' work. The work is expected to be completed by October 16, 2026.

Castle Shannon Blvd Overnight Work: Columbia Gas subcontractors will work overnight on Castle Shannon Blvd on Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 8pm-6am, and again from Sunday, October 11, through Friday, October 16, 2026.

Route 88 Corridor Maintenance: Mele and Mele will be working in the area to complete line painting and other miscellaneous maintenance issues along the Route 88 corridor. This will include day work on Thursday, October 8, and Saturday, October 11, 2026.

Please plan your commute accordingly and expect possible delays. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as these necessary maintenance works are completed.
