Roadway Projects for the Week of October 26, 2026

The Castle Shannon Police Department would like to inform the public of continuing roadway projects in our area. Please be aware of the following projects and plan your commute accordingly:

Spring/Mathilda and Library Rd (Route 88) Work

Pa American Water will be working on a large water main along Spring St. from Tuesday, October 27, through Friday, October 30, 2026. This 24-hour work will require road closures and detours. Flaggers and Police will be on site to assist with traffic when the road is open. Please expect closures and detours until the project is completed.

Castle Shannon Blvd Restoration

Restoration crews subcontracting for Columbia Gas will work to restore concrete pads along Castle Shannon Blvd between Mt Lebanon Blvd and Myrtle Ave. This work will be done at night, between 6pm and 6am, Monday through Friday, October 26, through October 30, 2026. Flaggers and Police will be on hand to facilitate traffic flow, but expect delays and times of single-lane, alternating traffic.
