On June 12, 2026, following a week long trial, an Erie County Jury convicted Jeffrey Edmond of Third Degree Murder for the killing of Ledomperignon Eady. Edmond beat Eady to death on October 30, 2024 at the corner of 26th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in Erie. Edmond was also found guilty of Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Assault.
At trial, prosecutors Jeremy Lightner and Brendan Sala presented video testimony, cooperating co-defendant testimony, and physical evidence to show that Edmond threatened Eady, drove around looking for him, and then beat Eady to death when he found him. Edmond faces sentencing on August 7, 2026 before Judge John J. Mead.
