Ephrata Police are investigating the near drowning of a child at the Ephrata Community Pool.  On Saturday, June 1, 2019 at 5:23 p.m. Ephrata Police, Ephrata Ambulance and Wellspan-Ephrata Medics responded to the Ephrata Community Pool at 435 Cocalico Street, Ephrata Borough, for a medical emergency.  A 4-year-old child from Lebanon was found unconscious in the pool by a lifeguard.  The child was rescued from the pool by lifeguards, revived poolside and transported to the hospital for treatment.  The child is expected to recover.
