We had a great turnout last night at the Royal Baptist Conference Center for Chief Camacho’s Town Hall meeting. During the event, Chief Camacho shared encouraging news — both violent and non-violent crime numbers have declined in our community.
The Chief also engaged in an open dialogue, listening to residents’ concerns and feedback. He announced plans to establish a Chief’s Advisory Committee and highlighted ongoing collaboration with the Violence Interrupters program.
Chief Camacho emphasized that our agency is focused on building stronger relationships through transparency and positive engagement with the community. Members of the command staff echoed his message:
“We can’t do anything without the community,” said Associate Chief Karen Cordray.
“You have an issue? Come to any one of us — we are available,” added Associate Chief Angela Johnson.
Deputy Chief Rick Keys also addressed the topic of juvenile crime, urging parents to stay involved:
“Moms and dads have to reach out to their kids — tell them to be respectful,” he said.
We plan to host more Town Hall meetings in the near future. Please check our Crimewatch app for upcoming dates and locations.
