Today, we pause to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001. Twenty-four years later, the images of that day remain etched in our hearts—the innocent victims, the brave first responders, and the countless acts of courage and unity that followed.

We especially remember the 72 law enforcement officers, 343 firefighters, and 8 EMS personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger to save others. Their heroism is a reminder of the oath we all carry: to protect and serve, no matter the cost.

As we reflect, we also remember the families who continue to carry the weight of loss, and the survivors who live with the memories of that day.

Let us never forget their sacrifice. Let us never forget the resilience and unity that defined us as a nation in the days that followed. And let us continue to honor their legacy through our daily service to this community.
