The North Charleston Police Department (NCPD) is proud to recognize three of its officers for their outstanding work in apprehending suspects involved in an armed robbery in Mt. Pleasant.
Pfc. Christopher Schuessler, Ptl. Troy Aratan, and Ptl. Gabriel Clement were also named Officers of the Month for September 2025 for their quick and coordinated response during the incident.
On the evening of September 4, shortly after 6 p.m., the officers began tracking a rental vehicle believed to be connected to the robbery. The vehicle was located in the area of Dorsey Avenue and Surprise Street, where the officers conducted a successful stop and detained both occupants.
A search of the vehicle revealed items consistent with those stolen during the robbery, a firearm matching the description of the weapon used in the crime, and a substantial quantity of illegal drugs.
Thanks to the vigilance and professionalism of Officers Schuessler, Aratan, and Clement, both suspects were taken into custody and formally charged with the robbery.
The North Charleston Police Department commends these officers for their exceptional service and dedication to justice.
