The North Charleston Police Department would like to inform the public that the scene of the recent incident on West Montague Ave. has been turned over to SCDOT, Charleston Water Works, and Dominion Energy. Barricades and traffic control measures have been established at the job site to ensure public safety.

According to project managers, the repair process is expected to take several days, and the road will remain closed until the necessary repairs are completed. The repair process includes fixing the water line, demolishing the damaged roadway, reinforcing the underground infrastructure, and repaving.
