On Thursday, September 17, 2026, at approximately 9:35 am, York City Police responded to William Penn High School for a report of an assault investigation. On scene, officers discovered that a York City School police and a school staff member were attempting to break up a fight between two juvenile students. While attempting to break up the fight, the juvenile female suspect repeatedly kicked the school staff member. The female suspect also struck a school police officer in the face with their hand, causing injury to the officer. The juvenile suspect was taken into custody and is being charged with the following offenses:

• Aggravated Assault on a Police Officer
• Aggravated Assault on a School Employee
• Simple Assault
• Harassment
• Resisting Arrest
• Disorderly Conduct
