On Wednesday, August 12th, in response to multiple complaints of nuisance crimes along the Rail Trail, officers from the York City Police Department and the York County Drug Task Force, conducted a targeted enforcement detail, which resulted in multiple arrests:

- 2 Felonies (Illicit drug sales)

- 4 Misdemeanors

- 4 Non-Traffic citations

- 1 wanted person was apprehended

Many of these arrests were for drugs, scattering rubbish, drinking in public, and general nuisance crimes.  

The York City Police Department is committed to making this area a safe and enjoyable place to visit and we will continue efforts to make that as such.  We are taking a proactive approach to addressing criminal activity in the area.
