Illegal "pop-up parties," unlawful nightclubs, and for-profit gatherings are becoming more common throughout our region. These events are often advertised on social media, attracting large crowds to homes, warehouses, vacant buildings, or other unauthorized locations where admission is charged.

These events can create serious public safety hazards, including:

• Excessive noise and neighborhood disturbances
• Overcrowding and dangerous fire code violations
• Traffic and parking issues
• Alcohol and drug-related offenses
• Violence and property damage
• Trespassing or unlawful use of property
