Working America, a community affiliate of the AFL-CIO, will be conducting door-to door canvassing in Springettsbury Township between July 9, 2026, and November 9, 2026.

Working America is a “not-for-profit 501(c)(5) labor organization that engages in education, and legislative and political advocacy, in support of good jobs, education, living wages, secure pensions, affordable health care, retirement security, and other issues of importance to working families”. The intent of this neighborhood canvass is a membership drive. The canvassers will not be soliciting funds or selling products. The canvassing activity will typically take place between 4:00 pm-9:00 pm. The canvassers will be carrying identification cards and wearing red safety vests.

As a matter of safety, the Springettsbury Township Police Department would like to remind the public to always ask canvassers for identification and never invite people conducting canvassing or soliciting into their homes. Additionally, residents have the right of refusal for any canvasing being conducted in the township.
