SHOP WITH A COP 2025 - 20th Year!!!
On Saturday, December 13, 2025, the Lower Windsor Township Police Officers Association (LWTPOA) conducted their annual SHOP WITH A COP event, where 15 local kids and a Family Member were taken Christmas shopping at Target!
The day started off with breakfast, then the kids and parent/guardian got to ride in a school bus from the police station to Target, where they each received money to spend on gifts. This year over $10,000 was donated and distributed to each child who participated. Once the shopping was completed, they loaded back on the bus and returned to the Police Station for gift wrapping and a luncheon. And this year, Santa and Mrs. Claus made an appearance. LWTPOA has special connections with the North Pole. Even though Santa and Mrs. Claus are very busy, they took time to come to Shop With A Cop 😊
This program first began in December of 2005, and has been going strong every year since then. It’s a great way for the Officers of LWTPD to give back to their community and for children to have a positive interaction with the officers.
The LWTPOA would like to thank the volunteers that made this event such a success! We would like to give a HUGE thank you to Becki Buser, April and Abby Fake, Amanda and Savannah Sipes, Jerry and Verna Mack. These ladies and gentlemen donated and provided breakfast, as well as helped wrapped gifts. Other volunteers were employees, officers wives and families, as well as 1 student from EYSD National Honor Society ~ we can never have too many wrappers.
Verna and Jerry Mack (aka Santa and Mrs. Claus) you both do a great job!
A shout out to BIG BOB’S BBQ who provided lunch for all the participants and volunteers – thank you so much!
EASTERN YORK RECREATION AUTHORITY donated all the soda and snacks – thank you!
This program is 100% donation funded and we’d like to recognize all of the businesses that once again made this possible:
Several individual donations were received as well, and we truly appreciate all the monetary support that makes this program possible.
Without the support of volunteers and sponsors, this program would not be possible. Thank you so much to our great community for making this event possible once again!
