Hanover Borough Police Department

News Release

July 8, 2026          

The Hanover Borough Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred at Carlisle Street and Eisenhower Drive on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at approximately 5:13 AM.  A 2017 Suzuki GSXR operated by a 20-year-old Hanover man struck a trailer being pulled by a 2006 Chevrolet 3500 operated by Adam Snyder, of New Oxford.  The 20-year old Hanover man was pronounced deceased by the York County Coroner. His cause of death was ruled blunt force trauma by the York County Coroner’s Office.

The Hanover Borough Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Penn Township Police Department, the Hanover Area Fire and Rescue and EMS, and the York County Coroner’s Office.

The police department is asking for anyone that may have witnessed the accident to contact the police department through York County 911 or at 717-637-5575.

The name of the deceased 20-year-old Hanover man is not being released until proper notification is made. No other information is available.
