The Carroll Township Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a second good Samaritan who came to the aid of an officer in distress. On Friday, February 13th, 2026, at approximately 4:30 pm, an officer was involved in a physical altercation with an individual near the Rutters at 899 US Route 15 North. Two bystanders intervened, and their actions were instrumental in de-escalating the situation and ensuring the officer's safety. We have already identified one of the good Samaritans, but we are still seeking the second individual who assisted. We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to both individuals and would like to speak with the second good Samaritan further about the incident.
