Penn Borough, PA -- Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli was proud to hand over a check to the Penn Borough Police Department for the purchase of a new portable radio package.

DA Ziccarelli presented the $1,901.76 check to Penn Borough Police at a council meeting Thursday, January 5, 2023.

The portable radio package includes a radio, battery, antenna, charger and microphone.

The money allocated to fund the radio package comes from the District Attorney’s Investigative Account with the acknowledgment it will be utilized under the Enforcement of Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act.

DA Ziccarelli has released funding to seven area police departments throughout 2022 and contributed more than $48,000.
