Greensburg, PA – The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) Troop A Patrol Section will be hosting “Operation Nighthawk” on Friday, June 12 and Saturday, June 13.
“Operation Nighthawk” is a specialized and unique two-day training and enforcement program that has proven highly successful at reducing impaired driving.
The program combines classroom instruction, workshops on DUI case law and drugged driving, and roving DUI patrols in collaboration with municipal law enforcement partners.
Throughout this weekend, dozens of Troopers and Municipal Police Officers are expected to participate in “Operation Nighthawk,” the mission of which is to save lives and deter impaired driving.
Both Troopers and Municipal Police Officers will saturate the area designated for DUI enforcement with a significant number of roving patrol vehicles.
The PSP Troop A coverage area includes Cambria, Indiana, Somerset, and Westmoreland counties.
