New Kensington, PA -- The New Kensington community honored and remembered fallen New Kensington Police Officer Brian Shaw seven years after he was killed in the line of duty.
Officer Shaw's family, New Kensington Police Chief Bob Deringer and fellow officers stood among the crowd on November 17 in a public memorial service honoring his life.
Officer Brian Shaw was killed in the line of duty on November 17, 2017 after he attempted to stop a vehicle in the city.
The service was held outside of New Kensington Police Department where a permanent memorial stands outside of the building.
Shaw was 25 years old and had served with the New Kensington Police Department for just five months before he was killed.
We are forever grateful and honor the service and sacrifice Officer Shaw made that day.
