Greensburg, PA -- District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli was among the eight elected officials, including Common Pleas and magisterial judges, sworn in before the court in Westmoreland County on December 30, 2025. 

The swearing-in ceremony featured remarks from President Judge Christopher Feliciani, an invocation and benediction by Bishop Larry Kulick, and presentation of colors by the Westmoreland County Honor Guard. 

Common Pleas Judges Scott Mears, Harry Smail, and Matthew Schimizzi were all sworn in, in addition to Magisterial District Judge Wayne Vlasic. 

Westmoreland County Row Officials including DA Ziccarelli, Prothonotary Gina O'Barto, Clerk of Courts Megan Loughner, and Register of Wills Katie Pecarchik took an oath to fulfill their four-year term. 

Supreme Court Justice Kevin Brobson administered the oath of office for DA Ziccarelli and Judge Harry Smail. 

 Retained Judge Timothy Krieger and Coroner-elect John Ackerman were sworn in during private ceremonies.
