Greensburg, PA -- Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole Ziccarelli and Chief County Detective Ronald Zona were honored to be guest speakers at this year's Camp Cadet program in Westmoreland County.
The class of approximately 40 cadets arrived at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg campus on Sunday and will spend a week learning about law enforcement, taking part in physical agility, along with presentations from supporting agencies.
The campus houses the cadets until their families are invited for a graduation ceremony at the end of the week.
The program is for children between the ages of 12 and 15 who may have an interest in law enforcement or the military.
DA Ziccarelli and Chief Zona spoke about the role of the district attorney, function of the office, and the cooperation among law enforcement and prosecutors to investigate and prosecute crimes.
The DA and Chief Zona are proud of the cadets for their commitment and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
