Irwin, PA -- Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli, in cooperation with Pennsylvania State Police, announce the arrest of Justin Grandison, 32, of White Oak.
Grandison was stopped by Pennsylvania State Police on Thursday near the intersection of Route 30 and Ash Street in Irwin Borough.
Troopers said Grandison was driving on a suspended driver’s license and had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Franklin County, Ohio.
Grandison denied troopers consent to search his vehicle, so a canine unit responded and alerted investigators to the presence of an odor of a controlled substance within the vehicle.
Grandison’s Cadillac Escalade was impounded y state police, and a search warrant was obtained and executed on the SUV.
Police seized multiple firearms, approximately 3,520 wax bags containing suspected heroin, 114 grams of a white powder suspected to be a controlled substance, approximately 117 assorted pills and 72 grams of marijuana.
State police said one of the firearms came back stolen in 2019.
Grandison was taken to the Westmoreland County Prison.
