Unity Township, PA -- Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announces criminal charges against several teenagers who are accused of leading police on a high-speed chase on Route 30 in Westmoreland County on Thursday, February 23, 2023.
State troopers responded after an employee reported their vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of Technimark on Devereux Drive in Unity Township.
State police issued a BOLO (be on the lookout) for the vehicle and spotted it on Route 30 near Greengate Road in Hempfield Township about an hour later.
When troopers tried to pull the vehicle over, the driver failed to stop. Police later identified the driver as David Fahy-Glover, 19.
Troopers pursued the vehicle on Route 30 eastbound for about 12 miles, with speeds exceeding 120 miles per hour.
The vehicle continued until it turned right into the Mount Laurel Plaza where it struck a curb and eventually hit an embankment and became disabled.
The driver, Fahy-Glover, was taken into custody.
A passenger in the car, Jacob Rible, allegedly led police on a foot pursuit for over 100 yards before being taken into custody.
A third passenger, a juvenile, was also taken into custody.
Troopers noted that all 3 teens had escaped from Adelphoi Village in Unity Township earlier that day.
Fahy-Glover and Rible were taken to the Westmoreland County Prison upon arrest.
