Latrobe, PA -- Pennsylvania State Police charged a Latrobe man after an investigation led to the discovery of hundreds of files of child pornography. 

State police received a CyberTip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. 

The tip was generated by Verizon cloud and allegedly contained 21 files of child sexual abuse material and uploaded to a user's account. 

The video file allegedly depicted an adult male engaging in a sexual act with a juvenile girl between the ages of 3 and 5 years old. 

Investigators with the state police computer crimes task force tracked down the IP address and a subsequent search warrant revealed the account belonged to Edward Smith, 62, of Latrobe. 

State police seized several devices from Smith's residence and his cell phone. 

A forensic analysis was conducted on the devices seized which revealed more than 100 files of child sexual abuse material. 

While speaking with troopers, Smith also allegedly admitted to communicating with underage kids on social media. 

Smith is facing charges of possessing child sexual abuse material and criminal use of communication facility.
