Hempfield Township, PA -- Two out-of-county men are facing felony charges after they forged two checks meant to be gratuity for a delivery, according to state police.
The victim reported the fraudulent behavior to state police in December of 2025.
The victim told investigators he was expecting a delivery of a new washer and dryer on December 11, 2025 to his Hempfield Township home.
The victim told troopers he wrote out two $25 checks to the male movers to show his gratitude and appreciation for delivering and installing his new appliances.
The victim discovered the two checks were forged and the dollar amounts were altered to reflect $2,100 and $2,700.
The victim provided copies of the forged checks to state police, along with video surveillance from his property.
The contracted delivery service helped troopers identify the two delivery drivers assigned to the Hempfield Township address that day as Alexis Duran, of New Jersey, and Onis Paulino-Perdomo, of Philadelphia.
Both men are facing forgery charges as a result of the incident.
