New Kensington, PA – A New Kensington man will stand trial in the stabbing death of his former roommate.
After a preliminary hearing on Thursday, a magistrate judge held all charges for court against Nico Harris, 40.
Harris was charged with criminal homicide, burglary and criminal trespassing in July of 2024.
New Kensington Police and the Westmoreland County Detective Bureau responded to the 600 block of Freeport Road in July of 2024 after the victim, David Risher, was found stabbed to death inside of the residence.
Earlier that day, Risher was reported missing by a relative after he could not be located in the home by his roommate or relatives.
Harris lived in the Freeport Road residence with Risher and another roommate until September of 2023.
Harris has remained in the Westmoreland County Prison without bail since his arrest.
