Monessen, PA -- Monessen Police charged two more people in connection with a shooting in March of 2025.
Brendon Redden and Kaytin Ward are facing charges in the shooting on Leeds Avenue that prompted a standoff with another defendant who is awaiting trial in the case.
Redden and Ward are both facing charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, terroristic threats, and carrying a firearm without a license.
Jay Din Eleam, of Brownsville, was charged last year after being taken into custody following the five-hour standoff with Monessen Police and surrounding law enforcement agencies.
Police said Redden and Ward arrived at a residence on Leeds Avenue where Eleam was staying to discuss a child custody issue, which ultimately led to gunfire.
Redden was shot and injured in an exchange of gunfire with Eleam.
Monessen Police said Ward drove Redden to the hospital after he was shot and investigators observed bullet holes in the windshield and on the driver side rear window of the vehicle that was driven by Redden to the scene.
Eleam is facing charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, possessing instruments of crime, person not to possess, recklessly endangering another person, and simple assault.
Disclaimer: To the extent that pending criminal matters are discussed, all such charges are merely accusations, and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
