Greensburg, PA -- A Greensburg woman is facing criminal charges after police said she endangered the lives of several children after offering them psychedelic mushrooms and allowing them to hang out of the windows of a moving vehicle.
Detectives at Greensburg Police Department charged Christa Kuhns, 35, with endangering the welfare of children, drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives have been involved since April of 2025 when they were contacted by caseworkers with Children and Youth Services
During a forensic interview with a juvenile victim, a Snapchat video was observed showing several minors sitting on the door frames of a moving vehicle and hanging out of the windows.
Police learned the driver of the vehicle at the time of the video recording was Kuhns.
Upon conducting more interviews with the other minors involved, investigators learned Kuhns offered mushrooms to several minors on a camping trip in 2024.
The child described the mushrooms as white, and bitter, and after ingestion, the victims were permitted to sit on the door frames and hang out of the moving vehicle while Kuhns was allegedly driving.
The victims told detectives they felt delusional after ingesting the substance allegedly provided by Kuhns.
Police executed a search warrant at Kuhns's residence on Oconell Way in the city of Greensburg and seized a firearm with three loaded magazines, a bag with mushroom residue and later confirmed to be psilocyn, marijuana pipes, and three THC vapes.
