Greensburg, PA -- Greensburg Police Department filed charges against a couple accused of leaving several children in deplorable living conditions.
Robert Conklin and Erin Pitts are facing charges of endangering the welfare of children.
Greensburg Police responded to Allegheny Street after numerous complaints to Children and Youth Services.
Staff with CYS conducted a house visit in October after police said the parents failed to provide medical services for a child.
CYS found the children living in filthy conditions with feces on the floor, a wet bed, and children with soiled diapers being held together with duct tape.
Police said another child was found in a pack and play with discolored legs, and unable to stand on their own.
Witnesses living in the house told investigators that they saw Conklin, on at least one occasion, give one of the younger children whiskey to drink.
Police said a previous picture posted on social media from 2023 showed Conklin allegedly pouring alcohol into the mouth of a toddler.
Both Conklin and Pitts are each facing three counts of felony child endangerment and Conklin is facing an additional charge of corruption of minors.
