Greensburg, PA -- Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announces the sentencing of a Huntingdon County man for raping a minor.
Randy Shipley, 40, was sentenced by Common Pleas Timothy Kreiger to serve a state prison sentence of 10 to 20 years behind bars.
Shipley was charged in 2024 after Latrobe Police were notified of the allegations involving Shipley and a 13-year-old.
The victim told investigators Shipley forced her to drink alcohol at an apartment in Latrobe and took advantage of her, sexually assaulting her.
The victim's clothing was submitted as evidence and contained Shipley's DNA.
Shipley pleaded guilty in October to rape by forcible compulsion, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, and corruption of minors.
Shipley remains in custody in Forest County where he is awaiting the outcome of an alleged parole violation in an unrelated Jefferson County criminal case.
DA Ziccarelli commends Assistant District Attorney Leo Ciaramitaro and Latrobe Police for advocating for this victim and securing justice.
