Greensburg, PA -- Westmoreland County District Attorney Nicole W. Ziccarelli announces the conviction of a Connellsville man who solicited child pornography from a minor and recorded the explicit content.
A jury found Jonathan Dulaney, 30, guilty of four of the five counts he was on trial for in front of Common Pleas Judge Scott Mears.
The jury spent approximately two hours deliberating before finding Dulaney guilty of sexual abuse of children, unlawful contact with a minor, and designing/copying obscene material depicting a minor. The jury found the defendant not guilty of disseminating the material.
Dulaney was charged by Pennsylvania State Police after he convinced the victim to take her clothes off over a video call and recorded it on his cell phone. The victim was 16 at the time of the incident in 2021.
DA Ziccarelli thanks the jury for its time and consideration and commends Assistant District Attorneys Adam Barr and Aubri Swank for prosecuting this case on behalf of the Commonwealth.
Dulaney will be sentenced in the next three months.
