Youngwood, PA -- Westmoreland County Detectives filed additional theft charges against a Youngwood gun shop owner who is accused of pocketing more than $153,000 of customers' money.
Tracey McMahan, 67, is accused of taking approximately $3,600 from four customers who made down payments toward the purchase of firearms from her business, Hi-Grade Shooters Supply.
McMahan was charged by Westmoreland County Detectives and state police in several other theft cases in 2023 and 2024.
County Detectives were contacted by a victim in West Virginia after paying McMahan $1,800 for the purchase of two shotguns in June of 2023. The victim never received the shotguns and communication was severed.
In May 2024, a victim and business owner in New Mexico contacted the Westmoreland County Detective Bureau regarding a possible theft involving McMahan.
The victim provided a payment of $1,800 to McMahan for the purchase of a rifle with a scope but failed to receive the item.
In June of 2024, a victim from Amity, PA reported to detectives that they provided McMahan a shotgun to sell at her business on consignment in the amount of $3,200 but never received the funds from the sale and could not make contact with McMahan.
A North Huntingdon man reported to detectives that in August of 2024 he provided McMahan with a shotgun to sell on consignment in the amount of $13,000. McMahan relayed to the victim that the shotgun was sold, however McMahan is accused of retaining the funds from the sale.
McMahan is facing several additional theft-related counts and receiving stolen property.
