Monessen, PA -- Monessen Police assisted federal investigators with the execution of a search warrant resulting in the arrest of a local man. 

Federal investigators relayed to Monessen Police that there were videos that depicted a juvenile being sexually assaulted by the suspect.

The suspect was identified as Joshua Rioux, 26, of Monessen. 

Monessen Police and federal agents with Homeland Security executed the search warrant on Rioux's residence on Aliquippa Avenue on September 24, 2026. 

Upon questioning, investigators said Rioux admitted to sexually assaulting the male juvenile on several occasions over an approximate two-year period. 

One of the incidents was recorded on video, according to police. 

Rioux is facing charges of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, aggravated indecent assault of a child, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, endangering the welfare of children, and corruption of minors. 

Rioux was denied bail.
