April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Sheriff Brian M. Vennie, Chief Cameron, Lieutenant Roa, and Sgt. Marceca met with staff from VIP (Victim's Intervention Program) to affirm our ongoing support for all victims of any type of domestic violence. Sexual assault can happen to anyone regardless of age, gender or background. It's a crime that is often underreported, but its impact is real and lasting.
If you or someone you know needs help, remember that you are not alone and can call 570-296-HELP to speak to one of their trained staff members. Together we can raise awareness, support survivors, and work toward a safer community for everyone.
