Today, the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department partnered with the Westfall Volunteer Fire Department and the Matamoras Volunteer Fire Department to host a Touch-A-Truck event for the students of Mountain View School in Matamoras Borough!

Our local first responders came together to give students an up-close look at police vehicles, fire apparatus, and the equipment we use every day to serve and protect our community. The children had the opportunity to explore the vehicles, ask questions, and interact with the police officers and firefighters who serve their community.

Events like these play an important role in building positive relationships between first responders and our youngest community members. They help children understand that police officers and firefighters are approachable, trustworthy, and always there to help when needed.

A special thank-you to Mountain View School, the Westfall Volunteer Fire Department, and the Matamoras Volunteer Fire Department for making this event possible!

Building trust, creating connections, and inspiring the next generation!
