The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department is proud to announce the 2026 Law & Leadership Academy scheduled for July 13th –17th, 2026.
The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department is accepting applications for students in 8th through 12th grade for a free, week-long summer camp. The program is designed to introduce junior cadets to the field of law enforcement while promoting leadership, teamwork, and civic responsibility.
Modeled after adult police academies, the Law & Leadership Academy offers cadets a first-hand look into various aspects of modern policing and the criminal justice system. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the role of law enforcement and their responsibilities as citizens.
Throughout the week, cadets will engage in hands-on activities including first aid training, physical fitness, defensive tactics, and team-building exercises. The academy also emphasizes leadership development and critical thinking.
Special guest appearances may include representatives from aviation units, mounted units, K-9 teams, Magistrate Judges, corrections, military, sheriff’s departments, bomb squad, game wardens, probation and more.
The academy will conclude with a graduation ceremony recognizing cadet achievement and participation. Graduates of the program will receive preference when applying for the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department Scholarship.
