Milford, Pa.-Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced charges against a Pike County couple for attempted sex crimes against a fifteen-year-old. Detectives from the District Attorney’s Office Criminal Investigation Division charged[1] Cara Godbold, age 31, of Pennsylvania and charged Nickolas Marrin-Youmans, age 31, of Pennsylvania with attempting to meet a fifteen-year-old child to engage in sexual acts.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Godbold connected with a person she believed to be a fifteen-year-old female. Godbold was seeking a person to engage in sexual acts with her boyfriend Marrin-Youmans. Plans were made to meet with the fifteen-year-old in Blooming Grove Township, Pike County. As the couple arrived at the location, they were intercepted by district attorney’s office detectives and Pike County Sheriff Deputies. During the conversations, Godbold discussed video recording the sex acts.
Godbold is charged with the charges of criminal conspiracy to commit statutory sexual assault: eleven years older, criminal conspiracy to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse of person less than sixteen years of age, criminal attempt to commit sexual exploitation of children offense defined, criminal attempt to commit sexual abuse of children and criminal use of communication facility, all felonies.
Nickolas Marrin-Youmans, age 31, of Pennsylvania is charged with the charges of criminal attempt of indecent deviate sexual intercourse of a person less than sixteen years of age, criminal conspiracy to commit indecent deviate sexual intercourse of person less than sixteen years of age, criminal attempt to commit statutory sexual assault: eleven years older, criminal use of communication facility, and criminal conspiracy to commit statutory sexual assault: eleven years older, all felonies.
Magisterial District Judge Randy Schmalzle set bail on both in the amount of $200,000.00. The pair were remanded to the pike County Correctional Facility in lieu of posting bail. A preliminary hearing will be held in Pike County Central Court within fourteen days.
