On July 5, 2026 at approximately 1501 hours officers on patrol conducted a traffic stop after identifying a passenger in a vehicle as Sarah Ziegenfuss. Officers had previous knowledge that Ziegenfuss had active warrants out of the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. After being arrested a search of her person was conducted an officers located drug paraphernalia hidden on her person. A consent search of the vehicle was conducted and officers located a pill bottle containing Oxycodone along with Ziegenfuss' personal items. As a result of the investigation a warrant was obtained at a later date and Ziegenfuss was taken into custody.
