On August 20, 2024 at approximately 2320 hours an officer was monitoring traffic near Sullivan Trail and East Moorestown Road and ran the registration of a passing vehicle. The officer learned the registered owner, Jeremy Luke, had a suspended driver's license and an arrest warrant out of Easton City for fraud related offenses. The officer confirmed Luke was the driver of the vehicle and surveilled the vehicle for several minutes at a drive-thru ATM. As the vehicle proceeded to leave the officer attempted a traffic stop, but Luke failed to stop. The vehicle entered SR33 North and Luke began to flee at speeds in excess of 100mph while flashing his headlights at vehicles forcing them out of his way. Due to the danger created by Luke's driving the pursuit was terminated as the vehicle fled North into Monroe County. The officer confirmed the warrant with Easton City and an arrest warrant was obtained for fleeing and related offenses.

On September 29th, 2026 Jeremy Luke was arrested by the Pottsville Bureau of Police after information was obtained as to his whereabouts. Slate Belt Regional Police extradited Luke from Schuylkill County on October 1st and he was arraigned and committed to Northampton County Prison on bail.
