*** Honoring National Police Week 2024 ***
At the May 20th Palmer Township Board of Supervisors Meeting, the Palmer Township Police Department acknowledged National Peace Officer Memorial Day and National Police Week.
Chief Smith recognized several of your Palmer Township Police Officers.
Officers were recognized and presented with Awards for their actions.
An awards ceremony was held in front of the Board of Supervisors, their fellow officers and members of the community.
Awards issued:
- Achievement Award issued to Officer Rothrock
- Merit Award issued to Officer Noura Gallas
- Unit Citations issued to Detective Strong, Officers Gallas, Border, Pacchioli and Colonial Regional Police Officer Waselus.
- Merit Award to K9 Officer “Nozy”
- Unit Citations issued to K9 “Nozy”, his handler Officer Clinese, Sergeant Watt, Officer Rothrock and former Wilson Police Officer Kyle Stout
- Civilian Service Award issued to Dylan Prunest
These officers were nominated for these deserved awards by a Committee of their peers, for their actions going Above and Beyond.
A Civilian was also recognized with an award for their assistance during a fatal motorcycle crash.
