On August 24, 2026 Palmer Township Police took a report from a female victim who stated she recently provided $47,415 on (2) separate dates to a person identifying himself on the phone as a Chief Investigative Officer with the Federal Trade Commission. This person threatened her with criminal charges if she did not pay the amount of money requested. The investigating Officer confirmed this was a fraudulent act. Further investigation confirmed there was another request for more money to be paid by the female victim the following day.

On August 25, 2026 at approximately 12:55 PM Officers were able to take the male into custody without incident when he arrived for the money. The male was identified as Ajitpal Singh, who was transported to the Palmer Township Police Department for processing. He was later arraigned by Magisterial District Justice Corpora and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $150,000.00 bail.
