On July 29, 2026 at 11:30 PM, the Palmer Township Police were dispatched to the 2600 block of Washington Street for a male who knocked on a residence door and is now sitting on the front porch. The male was also seen looking into the residence from the windows and then attempted to gain entry in the vehicle parked in the driveway. Upon arrival, the male had left the property. Officers continued to check the area, locating the male suspect walking on Gruver Ave / Park Ave. The male was taken into custody and identified as Thomas Cullis George. Further investigation confirmed he had an active arrest warrant for burglary from the Phillipsburg, New Jersey Police Department.
He was transported to the Palmer Police Department for processing. He was later arraigned by Magisterial District Justice Knisley and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5000.00 bail. He was also arraigned on the active arrest warrant (out of state fugitive) and committed on $100,000.00 bail.
