The Nazareth Borough Police Department marked a significant moment of leadership transition and professional advancement during a formal swearing-in ceremony held at the borough’s monthly council meeting at the Nazareth Regional Ambulance Corps.
During the ceremony, Randall S. Pompei Jr. was officially sworn in as Chief of Police, succeeding Chief Randall P. Miller, whose leadership and service helped shape the department’s strong foundation. Chief Pompei assumes command with a deep respect for the department’s history and a commitment to building upon the professionalism, integrity, and community trust established under Chief Miller’s tenure. His appointment represents both continuity and forward momentum for the department.
The event also recognized the promotion of two officers. Tyler Ferri and Brandon Rader were sworn in as Sergeants, honoring their dedication, experience, and readiness to take on increased leadership responsibilities within the department.
Borough council members, municipal officials, family members, residents, and fellow first responders were in attendance to support and congratulate the newly appointed and promoted officers.
