On January 23, 2026, at 23:23 hours, Nazareth Police responded to a report of a dog being left outside for an extended period in the area of the 100 block of West High Street. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the reporting party and determined that the dog had been left outside in the cold temperatures for approximately one hour. After approximately 30 minutes, officers were able to get the dog safely into the home. Further investigation revealed that there had been multiple prior calls to the residence regarding the dog being left outside for extended periods. As a result, charges were filed against the dog owner. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
