On September 23, 2026, at approximately 1714hrs, police responded to the Embassy Bank located at 3495 Rte#378. An investigation revealed that a male attempted to cash a check for $9800.00 using a fake identification. Further investigation found that the same individual had attempted to commit the same crime at another Embassy Bank location earlier in the day.

The following day, September 24, 2026, the male attempted to cash the check again at another Embassy Bank location. He was taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police at this location.

The individual, identified as Michael Edward Walsh, age 50 has been charged with Forgery (F3), Identity Theft (F3), Theft (F3), and Access Device is Counterfeit, Altered, Incomplete (F3). He was arraigned by District Judge Alan Mege.

All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
