On December 15, 2024, at 3:44am police responded to the 2000blk of Charles Drive for a burglary in progress. Police also took a report of suspicious activity that had occurred overnight in the 1500blk of Noah’s Circle later that day.
In the first incident an unknown actor at the time attempted entry into the home through a sliding door and also entered a vehicle in the driveway. In the second incident the same unknown actor attempted entry into the home and a vehicle in the driveway.
Police processed the crime scene for DNA touch evidence and had also obtained surveillance images of the actor.
In August 2025 police received information from a Pennsylvania State Police DNA Analysis report of a DNA profile that was obtained from a door handle of a vehicle from a CODIS search. On August 15, 2025, police served a search warrant for a DNA sample on a male at the Montogomery County Correctional Facility. The male was identified as Jahid Robinson, age 21 of Philadelphia, Pa. During an interview Mr. Robinson admitted the surveillance image of the actor that police obtained was himself.
After receiving confirmation of a DNA match police filed charges of Attempted Criminal Trespass F3, 2 Cts. Attempted Theft from a Motor Vehicle M3, Criminal Trespass/Simple Trespasser at District Court 03-2-04 on Jahid Kareem Robinson. Mr. Robinson was arraigned by District Judge Alan Mege on October 9, 2025, and bail was set at $25,000.00.
